Tuition Fees for Domestic Full-Fee Paying Students

Every domestic student that enrols in a unit of study, and who is not Commonwealth supported must pay a tuition fee for the unit of study.

What is FEE-HELP

FEE-HELP provides a loan to eligible students, who do not have a Commonwealth supported place, for part or all of their tuition fees. Students can borrow up to the limit of the tuition fee charged by the University for the unit of study. However, over their lifetime, students will only be able to borrow up to the limit set by the legislation (indexed on year by year basis).

The Higher Education Legislation Amendment Bill 2006 increases the general FEE-HELP limit to $81,600, and to $102,000 for Medicine, dentistry and veterinary science course, from 1 January 2008.

FEE-HELP replaced the old Postgraduate Education Loan Scheme (PELS), Open Learning Deferred Payment Scheme (OLDPS) and Bridging for Overseas-Trained Professionals Loans Scheme (BOTPLS) from 1 January 2005.
