Drop-in sessions and classes

The Library provides drop-in sessions, classes and workshops for students wanting to improve their academic learning skills.

Come to a drop-in session for a brief 10 to 15 minute consultation with a learning skills adviser about your assignment or academic skills.

You can drop in alone or in a group to discuss

  • developing your study skills
  • your assignment topic
  • an approach to your assessment task
  • other specific academic skills issues.

If you are coming along to talk about an assignment, make sure you bring the question and guidelines with you. You can also bring along your assignment plan or a draft for advice on your structure and approach.

No appointment is necessary although you may need to wait as students are seen on a 'first come first served' basis. A longer appointment may be scheduled for a later date if deemed necessary by the learning skills adviser.

Drop-in sessions commence in week 2 and run through to week 14 in branch libraries.
