July 2017 edition of eye spy, the Monash Immersive Visualisation Platform newsletter, available now.

Real-time colouring and filtering with graphics shaders published today in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.

Lead author Dany Vohl (Swinburne University of Technology) describes the use of real-time shaders on the GPU to colour astronomy images and reveal important 3-d information in standard 2-d projections on the computer screen or paper.

Monash Immersive Visualisation Platform has been working with archaeologists Dr Louise Shewan and Dr Dougald O'Reilly to develop immersive visualisations and virtual tools to aid in the study of the enigmatic Plain of Jars in central Laos.  ABC TV Catalyst told the story last night.
