Join artists and MADA teaching staff David Egan and Rosslynd Piggott in conversation with MUMA Senior Curator Pip Wallis, as they discuss their paintings included in MUMA’s current exhibition Thin Skin. Thin Skin is an exhibition of paintings by over thirty Australian and international artists who explore the liminal space between figuration and abstraction.

Thin Skin is guest curated by Australian, London-based writer, curator and former editor of frieze magazine, Jennifer Higgie and continues to 23 September.

David Egan is an Australian artist who lives and works in Naarm/Melbourne. Recently, he has had solo shows at Neon Parc (2022), Haydens (2021), Sutton Projects (2019) and Bus Projects (2018), all in Naarm. His book of essays, Colour Handling, was published by Discipline in 2022.

Rosslynd Piggott is an Australian artist who lives and works in Naarm/Melbourne. She recently held solo exhibitions at Sutton Gallery, Naarm (2023 and 2019), and Milani Gallery, Meanjin/Brisbane (2021). Her survey exhibition, I Sense You but I Cannot See You, was presented at the National Gallery of Victoria, Naarm (2019).
