Since its launch in November 2012, Mobility@Monash has had more than 600 HEW 1 to 9 professional staff register their interest. In the past two months 24 candidates have been placed in new positions with another 20 roles in progress.

Currently, the average timeframe to refer a candidate to a vacant position is 8 days from the date the role becomes available to Mobility@Monash. The professionalism and responsiveness of the Mobility@Monash team enable an efficient and friendly experience for managers recruiting staff.

According to Associate Deputy Director, Operations, Monash Residential Services Jason Whitaker the Mobility@Monash process is "quick and simple”.

Mr Whitaker recruited an Operations Officer earlier this year.

"The Mobility@Monash team were able to match a candidate’s skill set with our selection criteria," Mr Whitaker said.

"I was able to clearly assess those skills and interview the candidate before making a decision to appoint them.  The successful staff member has been great and really hit the ground running.”

Mobility@Monash supports the University’s approach to vacancy management as it facilitates the movement of professional staff across the University.  Additional benefits include:

  • retaining quality and highly valued staff with University knowledge; and
  • providing staff an opportunity for professional development and career progression.
