Monash University student Caitlin Davies is sailing to success.
Caitlin recently competed at the Australian University Fleet Racing Regatta and recorded several strong performances including a third place finish.
The tournament was held at Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra and consisted of nine separate races against some of Australia’s best university athletes.
Caitlin’s outstanding performances lead to a sixth place finish overall, making her the best female competitor on the day.
In the last year, the promising talent has been training with the Victorian Institute of Sport’s laser class squad.
She was able to balance her training commitments with studying for her degree in Nursing and Emergency Health with the help of Monash’s Elite Athlete Support Program.
Caitlin’s next step is competing at the National Titles in Queensland and the Victorian Titles next March.
