On behalf of the Organizing Committee it is an honor for me to invite you to participate in

Spec 2012-Shedding New Light on Disease to be held in Chiang Mai, November 11-16 2012.

The aim of this international conference series is to bring together clinicians and scientists who have joined forces in the quest for novel biomedical applications of Infrared and Raman spectroscopy to improve patient care. Recent advances in the biological sciences and medicine have led to an increasing demand for real time and minimally invasive chemical and structural information on biological materials. Due to its unique fingerprinting capability, vibrational spectroscopy plays a significant role in histopathology, cytology, biopsy targeting, surgical targets, treatment monitoring and drug studies. The conference will also showcase spectroscopy applied to biotechnological applications including food and agricultural science.

Along with a significant scientific program we have organized social events that will allow you to explore the enchanting city of Chiang Maiand its surrounds.

We look forward to welcoming you to Spec 2012.
