News from the Large Hadron Collider

Prof. Csaba Balazs
Monash University

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is the largest, most ambitious and most complex scientific endeavor on Earth. It was built to recreate the conditions of the Big Bang, to find the origin of mass, to create super-particles, to illuminate dark matter, to open extra dimensions of space, to produce black holes, to tackle dark energy and to confirm theories of everything. The LHC started operation at half of the design energy more than a year ago. What has the LHC delivered so far? I'll report on the latest news from the LHC.
