My family were quite hesitant about me studying maths at first, but then we realised that lots of companies need people with maths backgrounds, so I’ve had lots of job opportunities.
I did one unit of statistics in first year, and after that I didn’t have to do any maths at all, which I was very happy with.

The great thing about being a Student Ambassador is that you really get to develop your skill set, such as communication and confidence. I got the confidence to speak with other people and also to speak in public.
At Monash we try to encourage breadth in the undergraduate Science degree, so for example even if you’re interested in biology, you would also do subjects in other disciplines as well.
The summer program was an eight week paid vacationer program at Ernst & Young, it was great on the job experience, and I got a graduate job offer out of it.
The best experience I’ve had here at Monash is being able to combine both my Science degree and Commerce degree, and do my internship at Monash Vision Group, here at Monash University.

I’ve been lucky at Monash; I’ve had the chance to do two student exchanges. My first one, I went to England, and my second, to Sweden.
So I’m studying a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Laws, so the reason I chose that is because I wanted to see how they really complemented each other- science and law.
Well, I love Monash Science because of the flexibility, the choices that we get as students. We’ve got a broad range of subjects to choose from, and every degree is unique.
What I love about Science is the flexibility it’s offered me. I’ve been able to combine my love of learning languages- I study French and Spanish as part of my Arts degree- and I’ve been able to study that along with my passion for international developments, as part of my Science degree.
