Enable Wi-Fi Calling

Wi-Fi Calling is only supported on some mobile handset and carrier combinations. Wi-Fi Calling is enabled on the Monash Eduroam network, and - if supported by your handset - you can follow the instructions below to enable it on your device.

For Android devices

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Search for Wi-Fi Calling.
  3. Enable the feature.
  4. Settings will vary by device, and you may need to consult your carrier's support documentation for further advice. Read this article from Telstra to learn more about Wi-Fi Calling.

For Apple devices

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Select Phone and choose Wi-Fi Calling.
  3. Enable the feature.
  4. To learn more go to Apple's support site.

Mobile phones provided by Monash support Wi-Fi Calling. Telstra has a list of compatible devices. To find out if your personal device supports Wi-Fi Calling, contact your mobile service provider.
