A PUK or 'Personal Unlocking Key' is a security feature on most mobile devices that protects your SIM card data. A PUK code is required when a SIM Card PIN has been entered incorrectly.
The message Enter PUK will appear on your mobile phone if you have incorrectly entered your PIN for your SIM card 3 times in a row. This means your SIM card has been locked.
To unlock the phone you'll need the 8 digit code.
To request a PUK for your Monash device, contact Solve Communications on:
- 1800 630 022 (9:00am to 5.30pm)
- (03) 9696 1234 (after hours)
- helpdesk@solve.com.au
Once you have the PUK, enter the code to unlock your mobile and follow the instructions on screen to set a new PIN.
Caution: entering a PUK incorrectly 3 times will cause the message SIM Blocked to appear. If this happens, the SIM card will becomes unusable and all data on it will be lost.
